Spinach is a leafy green flowering plant native to central and western Asia. It is of the order Caryophyllales, family Amaranthaceae, subfamily Chenopodioideae.

Planting And Care

    Harvest Season
  • The large leaves can be cut individually after 37 to 45 days. For the smaller leaves, cut them off 1- ½ to 2 inches above the crown.
  • Baby spinach leaves have a sweeter flavour and a more tender texture. Spinach leaves should be removed before they get yellow and within a week of full leaf formation.
  • You can also remove the entire seedlings at once however this means that you will not be able to continue harvesting for the rest of the growing season.
